IEEE TMC BOD meeting, 7/30/2009

Attendees: Chris, Carl, Rich, Larry, Ilya, Richard

Budget:

            $9,299. 20       Savings

            $14,036.98      Total

            In April, $296.36 was from CPMT for our share of Effective Training courses

            Richard: Follow up on revenue sharing terms with Effective Training

Future Speakers:

  • Marilyn Stanton  - DiSC for Managers (Behavioral assessment)

            On line assessment before meeting – try to send link in sign-up confirmation.

            Target for Oct 1st meeting

  • Excel & MS Project tools (Carl has seen a good speaker for this)
  • Project Retrospective – Chris (Ainsley Niece)
  • Technical Learning Styles Chris (Steve Bachman)
  • Richard: Set up blog on future speakers topics

September Meeting?  No (Sept 7th is just before Labor Day weekend)

            First dinner meeting of season is Oct 1st.

Job descriptions -       

            Carl – write up promo & drinks

            Rich – has already written up food buying description & posted on new website

            Larry – add meeting minutes template

Chris – booking venue

Website Update – Ilya

  • Ilya has done quite a biut of work on the new website. Lots of functionality added. 
  • Training session – possibly a breakfast meeting (interactive with laptops).  Larry volunteered Data Domain.

ITMC Update – Rich

Budget and MOU drafts published on Yahoo group

Board of Governors has suggested some themes

Looking for ideas on Chairperson for conference

Paper management software (manage paper submissions) looking for ideas

Q: When will we need to make a decision on hosting the conference?

Retrospective from two previous EMS conferences posted on Yahoo groups website

 

Next BOD meeting – August 27th. Richard will chair – Chris is out of town.

Action Items:

  1. Richard: Follow up on revenue sharing terms with Effective Training
  2. Chris:  Target Marylin Stanton for Oct 1st dinner meeting
  3. Richard: Set up blog on future speakers topics
  4. Carl – write up job descriptions for promo and for drinks for chapter meetings
  5. Larry – add meeting minutes template to Wiki
  6. Chris – job description for booking venue
  7. Ilya – Training session for website.  Work with Larry to schedule conference room at Data Domain
  8. Rich - When will we need to make a decision on hosting the conference?
  9. Carl - check with Oliver Guildersleeve and UltimateSuccess for speakers on Excel or MS project themes.
